Cui Jingning, or 'Xiao Cui' for short: a moderate liberal, a tenant farmer in the fields of code doing odd jobs, a passable landscape photographer, a terrible portrait photographer, a film addict, and a pretend IT person whom people call on to fix their computers.

Born in 1995 in Changchun, Jilin. After years devoted to leisure reading and pondering life, I have discovered two theorems:
First, leisure reading really is just leisure reading.
Second, there is not much about life worth pondering.

I now write code at a supposedly big tech company. The interview may test whether you can build rockets, but almost all the actual work is tightening screws.

I studied at Northeast Forestry University, entering in 2013. But I remember a blogger saying they were 'currently studying at National Central University' (that is, Nanjing University), so I hardly dare introduce my own university that way... Neither of our two nicknames—'Northeast Forestry High School' and 'Harbin's Fourth Prison'—is fit for polite company. Besides, I had not even heard of the university until my college entrance exam scores came out... Yes, this is what happens when you do not study properly...

I started photography after using Canon's PowerShot A520—though 'taking snapshots' would probably be more accurate. I came to understand the saying, 'Photography impoverishes three generations; film ruins a lifetime.' I currently have one DSLR; I have not counted the film cameras or the lenses.

I maintain a few Ubuntu Servers, mainly because I have far too much time on my hands. My computer skills are nothing special, but they get me by.
